Marketing Specialist - Australia
Your Role
- Assist with planning, implementation and tracking of Promega’s Australian marketing strategy and initiatives.
- Build and maintain a strong and consistent local expression of the Promega brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing tactics.
- Build relationships with global marketing colleagues to develop and leverage joint resources.
- Develop a strong understanding of Promega’s values to ensure appropriate voice and tone are applied across external media.
Responsibilities
- Create content and execute email marketing, web pages and social media for the Australia branch.
- Consider customer journeys from global sources and amending to local personas (as appropriate).
- Develop and report on promotions and events.
- Experimenting with various organic and paid lead acquisition channels.
- Understand the interdependencies between social content, inbound marketing and SEO. (Collaborate with global colleagues to ensure alignment on keywords).
- Regularly track and analyse the effectiveness of marketing activities through the use of benchmarks, measurements, and recommendations.
- Gain a sound working knowledge across Promega’s globally managed technologies: Sitecore, Showpad, Widen(Digital Asset Management), ON24(webinar), Khoros (social media monitoring, Power BI, Google + Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Dynamics for Marketing.
- Supporting the sales team with lead generation and nurturing.
- Collaborate with Commercial Core Teams to prioritize marketing efforts aligned with strategic initiatives and appropriate for the Australian branch.
- Keep informed on marketing effectiveness, industry trends, and best practices.
- Understand and comply with all elements of Promega's quality system that apply to this position.
Your Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field with at least 2 years’ experience in traditional and digital marketing.
- The position is based in our Sydney office: Must be an Australian citizen or have a permanent work visa.
- Sound knowledge of marketing/digital marketing software programmes, including CRM applications and email packages.
- Hands-on experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple projects with moderate supervision and with other team members in a cooperative, professional manner. Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and follow-up.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
Desirable
- Exposure to the Life Sciences/Biotechnology market would be highly regarded.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft’s suite – Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dynamics for Marketing, PowerBI, and Microsoft Teams.
